Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 3, 2026

SEOdune ("SEOdune", "we", "us") is an unofficial mobile client for Google Search Console, built by Kyte. This policy explains what data SEOdune accesses, how it's used, and how to control it. SEOdune is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC.

What SEOdune accesses

When you sign in with Google, SEOdune requests access to your Search Console data via Google's official Search Console API, under the "https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters" scope. This lets the app read your sites' performance data (clicks, impressions, CTR, position), sitemaps, and URL indexing status, and — only when you explicitly submit or remove a sitemap in the app — make that specific change on your behalf. SEOdune never accesses Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or any other Google product.

What we don't do

SEOdune has no backend server. Your Search Console data is fetched directly from Google to your device and is never sent to, stored on, or processed by any server we operate. We don't track you across other apps or websites, we don't build advertising profiles about you, and we never sell or share your data with data brokers.

What's stored on your device

SEOdune stores your Google sign-in session (managed by Google's own Sign-In SDK) and a small local preference — which property you last had selected — on your device. Neither leaves your device except as needed to authenticate with Google.

Third-party services

SEOdune uses Google Sign-In and the Search Console API, governed by Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

On the free tier, SEOdune uses Google AdMob to show banner ads. SEOdune requests non-personalized ads only — it does not use the AppTrackingTransparency prompt and does not track you for advertising. AdMob may still collect device and advertising identifiers for purposes such as fraud prevention, frequency capping, and ad measurement, under Google's own privacy and advertising policies.

To understand which features are used and to diagnose crashes, SEOdune uses privacy-preserving product analytics (Mixpanel, hosted in the EU) and crash and performance diagnostics (Sentry). These record anonymous, per-device events only. They are never linked to your Google account, email, or identity, and are never used to track you across other apps or for advertising.

Revoking access

You can revoke SEOdune's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account's security settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions), or by signing out inside the app. Revoking access doesn't delete any data from Search Console itself — that's controlled entirely by Google and your property settings.

Children's privacy

SEOdune is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with an updated date above.
